These are some interesting exercises on conditional clauses. I have classified them into the three traditional categories.

1. CONDITIONAL CLAUSES TYPE 1.(Describen una situación real)
-when/if + future
-order the sentences

2.CONDITIONAL CLAUSES TYPE 2.(Expresan una suposición, no real, en el Presente)
-type 1 or type 2
-order the sentences
-more on conditional types 1 and 2

3.CONDITIONAL CLAUSES TYPE 3.(Se refieren a una suposición, no real, sobre el Pasado)
-past unreal conditional
-type 2 or type 3

A CONDITIONAL SONG

There are many ways to learn conditionals. For instance, you can do it singing.
This is a song by Linkin' Park. You can watch the video and read the lyrics below.
Click on It's easier to run

LYRICS

Easier to Run 03:24
It's easier to run,
Replacing this pain with something numb.
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone.

Something has been taken
From deep inside of me,
A secret I've kept locked away
No one can ever see.
Wounds so deep they never show,
They never go away,
Like moving pictures in my head
For years and years they've played.

If I could change I would
Take back the pain, I would
Retrace every wrong move that I made, I would.
If I could
Stand up and take the blame I would.
If I could take all the shame to the grave I
Would.

Sometimes I remember
The darkness of my past,
Bringing back these memories
I wish I didn't have.
Sometimes I think of letting go
And never looking back
And never moving forward so
There would never be a past.

Just washing it aside
All of the helplessness inside,
Pretending I don't feel misplaced
Is so much simpler than change.

It's easier to run
Replacing this pain with something numb.
It's so much easier to go
Than face all this pain here all alone.

-Read the purple lines. What does the singer want to change?
-Does he believe that he can change? Why?
-Does the singer express a real fact or just his desire?
-What type of conditional sentences have you found in the song?

WORKING WITH TEXTS

We are going to read a text based on Selectivity.

HEALTHY LIFE

Rest and relaxation are just as important to our body as exercise and healthy eating. If you don’t get enough of them you can make yourself ill. Your body is a bit like a battery. If it is not allowed to recharge itself through sleep and relaxation it may stop working properly.
Lack of sleep affects our ability to concentrate. When you dream, your brain may be clearing itself out and preparing itself for the next day's thinking. During your teens, you need at least eight hours' sleep a night. If you stay out late, try to go to bed early the next night. The effects of lack of sleep can build up over several days. When you are awake you make many demands on your mind and body. Your body needs a period of rest to repair itself and prevent it from getting worn out.
During sleep, substances called hormones stimulate body tissues to grow and repair themselves. If you have troubles getting to sleep, try reading a book to calm your mind or take some exercise and avoid tea, coffee or food before bedtime. A hot, milky drink may help you relax.

Answers to these questions will be published soon in another post.
